Research Solutions forms clinical research alliance with northeastern Texas Multi-specialty Group

Little Rock, Ark.– Research Solutions, LLC, a rapidly growing site management organization (SMO), announces continued site expansion, forming a clinical research alliance with Collom & Carney Clinic of Texarkana, Texas. The partnering of Collom & Carney Clinic and Research Solutions will serve the growing needs of pharmaceutical companies conducting studies in multi-specialty areas.

The Collom & Carney Clinic group is comprised over 70 physicians serving communities in Texas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. The city of Texarkana, on the border of Texas and Arkansas, draws from a patient base serving 10 counties with a population of 320,000.

The multi-specialty group practice has over 210 thousand active patient charts and is conducting research in the therapeutic areas of allergy/asthma, dermatology, immunology, ENT, family practice, internal medicine, neurology, ob/gyn, orthopedic surgery, pediatrics and urology. The clinic is able to perform all procedures on-site. The group is affiliated with St. Michael’s Hospital.

The Collom & Carney Clinic is fully automated with its own IT staff implementing and maintaining complete electronic scheduling, electronic medical records, record keeping and insurance fillings.

“The rural population in Texarkana and surrounding areas will now have the opportunity to take part in the clinical trial process. In the past, patients were sometimes excluded due to excessive travel distances to larger cities. We’re proud to provide these new opportunities to patients in need.”, stated David J. Jones, Chief Executive Officer, Research Solutions.

Research Solutions partners with community-based physicians providing direct support services including overall study management, regulatory, budgets, patient recruitment, quality assurance, research staff, study tracking and reporting. Patient services include centralized patient recruitment media campaigns and a central call center.
